Want to spice up your basic black shirt and make it a little more interesting? I knew when I ordered my Byte shirt from A.K.A Apparel, I wanted a little style to it. I remember seeing bleach dyed shirts in stores and wanted to recreate one myself. Let me show you how I bleach dye my shirt. Let’s get to it!
Tools you will need: black shirt, bleach, and rubber bands.
- Wet the T-shirt with water.
2. Roll the center of the shirt clock-wise like the photo down below.
3. Wrap the rubber bands in place. I used 5 total.
4. Spray the t-shirt with bleach! I over sprayed mine to get the clouded design. If you spray just a little bit it will have an orange dyed outcome which is a very cool design! Important thing to note is to bleach on the back side as well! Let it soak and wait for it change color for 40 minutes.
5. Rinse the bleach out.
6. Pop the t-shirt in the washer machine and let it wash. *Don’t wash with other clothes.
7. Let it dry and it should look something like this.
And that concludes the process of bleach dying your shirt. Didn’t I tell you it was easy? If I can do it anybody can do it too! I made a short video on the byte app right here if you would like to see it in video form. My inspired DIY was found here and here if you are interested on how other creators made their shirts! I just added my own twist to it. Would you try bleach dyeing your shirt or bleach dye any other clothing items? Let me know in the comments down below!
All in all, this is Kawaii (Cute) and Oshare (Stylish)♡
