I was looking through Pinterest to look at new spots to visit and came across a picture that was so beautiful that I just had to visit. なばなの里/Nabana No Sato is a very popular spot where they have beautiful garden during the day and illumination at night. It is also where you visit the famous 光のトンネル/Hikari No Tunnel/Tunnel of Lights. For this post, I will only talk about the illumination. Let me show you why you should visit Nabana no Sato.
Firstly, Nabana No Sato is located in Mie Prefecture near Nagashima Resort. Here they have an amusement park, hot springs, and outlet mall. Meaning that, there are plenty of activities to do. The hotel I stayed (花水木/Hanamizuki) had a stay plan that included free access to those activities including Nabana No Sato. One thing to note is that the amusement park is only entry to the park not an admission ticket. Although illuminations are widely popular in the winter seasons, Hikaru No Tunnel was available from October to May. And so, if you would like to visit during Hikaru No Tunnel please double check their illumination schedule.
Now back to Nabana No Sato. I have arrived to the destination at 19:00pm and only had two hours to take plenty of photos&videos. Upon arrival, I was able to see the illumination from the distance on the bus! The excitement kicked in and I was ready to witness the beautiful lights.
In the picture above is 光の大河/Hikari No Taiga/Great River of Light which displays illumination over the water. It is a pretty sight to see and can be viewed from any angle around the location. In the picture below, there were lights on the trees. I like the way it captures beauty of nature even when it’s night time.
After walking around for a little bit, I have arrived to the main event, Hikari No Tunnel.
I was in awe! I have been to many illuminations, but I have never witness one like this. It looks like it can be shot in a romantic movies. I was amazed that there was barely people around. Was very lucky to have captured this because in other people’s photos it is usually packed.
Different types of flowers were displayed in the illumination.
After going through the tunnel, I have arrived to 季節の大樹/Kisetsu No Taijyu/Seasonal Big Tree. The illumination is massive and displays shows with all different colors. Sadly, I didn’t have time to go through here because it was closing time, but watching one show was really beautiful.
A closer look of Kisetsu No Taijyu, it looks like wisteria! Probably my favorite part of the illumination.
On the way back, went through the tunnel of roses!
And that concludes the trip to Nabana No Sato! Have I convinced you to plan to visit this illumination spot? If so, let me know if you visited here!
All in all, it was Kawaii (Cute) and Oshare (Stylish)♡
