Wouldn’t it a be a dream to have to make the tough decisions to decide which ice cream flavors to eat, especially if the ice cream stand serve over 100 flavors? Well, you can find one here in southern Japan which includes flavors of ice cream you might not have heard of. While I was enjoying 花見/Hanami/Cherry Blossoms watching in March at Kintai Bridge in Yamaguchi Prefecture, I wanted to eat something sweet and so I was on the hunt for an afternoon snack. In less than 5 minutes I found many ice cream stands, but one stand stood out the most. This ice cream stand is called むさし/Musashi serving over 100 flavors of soft serve ice cream.
I know I know, there are so many ice cream flavors ranging from vanilla to matcha to mint, but have you ever heard of tomato, ramen, curry, ginger, or wasabi flavored ice cream??? Yes, you read that right! those flavors are available here at this shop and they have plenty of them. Looking at the menu I was highly curious on what スッポン/Supon/Soft-shelled Turtle was, but I was too afraid to try it. Would you be interested in trying these flavors?
むさし/Musashi definitely caught my eye with their colorful ice cream display. Which reminds me, this could have been a perfect photo opportunity with the display. The 5 flavors of chocolate located at the top right section looks so delicious, I didn’t notice this flavor until after I looked at the pictures. Also, don’t worry about not being able to read Japanese, this shop have English menus! So you can choose as you please.
With so many options you must be wondering what I tried right? Shame on me, but I went for the sweet kind which was raw caramel cheesecake. I couldn’t resist, it sounded delicious.
And it tasted very creamy! caramel flavored ice cream can never go wrong with me. If you ever stop by to tour around Kintai Bridge, come to Musashi and give the odd flavors of soft serve ice cream a try. If I go back I definitely will try the unique ones especially Supon flavor.
All in all, it was Kawaii (Cute) and Oshare (Stylish)♡
